“When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life for there is in London all that life can afford. ”
Samuel Johnson
The company offers a unique combination of in-depth market knowledge and outstanding personal service to a select portfolio of blue-chip clients in London's prime office real estate districts.
Nick is well established in the London market and has more than two decades of experience in acquiring and disposing of office premises in The City, Holborn and London Docklands. He has worked for a wide range of clients from small start up organisations to major players in the global financial arena.
Nick's long career in London office agency began in 1984, when he joined Jones Lang Wootton, specialising initially in Landlord & Tenant and various related taxation work. He was made an Associate in 1993 and a Partner in 1995, having joined the firm's City Agency team in 1987. He worked on a number of high-profile instructions, including 1 Angel Court, EC2 (210,000 sq ft), 99 Bishopsgate, EC2 (320,000 sq ft), Millennium Bridge House, EC4 (195,000 sq ft) and 20 Moorgate, EC2 (155,000 sq ft).
After 16 years at Jones Lang Wootton/Jones Lang LaSalle, Nick joined GVA Grimley as a Partner in 2000, and was made Equity Partner in 2001. In addition to helping to develop and grow GVA Grimley's London City office he helped found GVA Connect, a company that specialised in the acquisition and disposal of data centre premises. The £40m investment made by Lloyds TSB Development Capital in GVA Grimley in November 2007 provided the catalyst for Nick to start up and develop his own business.
Nick was elected a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1985, having graduated with a BSc in Estate Management from Liverpool Polytechnic in 1983. He is married to Kate and has a daughter, Isabella. He has lived in West London for more than 20 years and spends much of his spare time in Dorset, where he recently renovated a Grade II listed cottage dating from c.1750. Nick supports Liverpool FC.
